Simplicity
If complexity is inevitable, is there any value in designing for simplicity? Certainly, we seem drawn to things that can do more in a single package; the modern smart phone combines a phone, camera, video recorder, audio recorder, flashlight, pedometer, computer, GPS receiver, and a half million other functions it seems. It’s compact, easily transportable, and readily available.
It does not, however, come with a knife blade. Well, not yet, anyways.
